Richard Casino review: two products in one welcome offer
Richard Casino scores 3.6 out of 10. Its banner reads "Welcome Pack $5000 + 500 FS + $1050 FreeBet": five casino bonuses with a sportsbook freebet tucked into the first four. That pairing is the most Richard-specific thing about it, and the freebets come with a feature you will not find at any licensed Australian bookmaker: they work on live, in-play bets.
On 9 October 2026 richardcasino.com forwarded our Australian connection to a numbered Richard Casino address that ACMA's 8 October snapshot did not include; we do not name it. We read the terms (version 1.0, 15 April 2026), bonus terms, payments page, responsible gaming page (2 June 2026) and footer there. No account was opened.
Is Richard Casino legal in Australia?
No. The Interactive Gambling Act 2001 makes offering online casino games to Australians illegal, although playing is not an offence for you. ACMA's register of blocked gambling websites carried 12 Richard domains on 8 October 2026:

The register does not say which of these Richard itself runs. A double-i spelling is the kind of address that phishing pages use, so type nothing into a login page whose address you did not expect.
Richard's restricted list has 52 entries, all of Canada, India, Sweden and the UK among them. Australia is not there. ACMA's own guidance lists in-play betting on sport among the services that cannot be offered online to Australians, which puts Richard's live freebets outside the rules as well; our page on offshore betting sites in Australia explains the betting side.
Who owns Richard Casino?
The footer spells it out: Metlait SRL, registered in Costa Rica under number 3-102-911867, with an address in El Guarco, Cartago, "operating under E-gaming license No. 0000064 issued by the Tobique Gaming Commission". The commission's licence-holder list includes Metlait S.R.L with a B2C licence to 16 April 2027, though it lists companies rather than websites.
Two smaller ownership clues. The sign-up form carries a checkbox to "receive information about partner casinos, their bonuses, and promotions", and the footer's Affiliates link points to a programme called Stay Partners. Disputes go to EGIS and then arbitration in Costa Rica.
Five A$1,000 bonuses: the wagering bill
Every stage needs at least A$30, gives 100 free spins and caps the cash bonus at A$1,000:

We could not reconcile the four freebet caps, 650 EUR in total, with the banner's $1,050.
Each bonus must be activated within a day, then bet 40 times within seven days (free spin winnings get three). In our calculation one A$1,000 bonus means A$40,000 of bets in a week: 5,000 spins at the A$8 limit, or about 714 a day. All five come to A$200,000 of turnover, with an expected cost near A$8,000 at a 96% return, against A$5,000 of bonus.
Then check where you play. About 150 well-known slots count only 50%, among them Book of Dead, Gates of Olympus, Big Bass Bonanza, Starburst, The Dog House and Money Train 2. On those, the same A$1,000 bonus needs A$80,000 of bets. Table games, roulette, video poker and craps count 5%. Any winnings above 10 times the bonus are forfeited, and free spin winnings stop at A$150. A high roller version promises up to A$10,000 per deposit from A$300 to A$350, with 125 to 200 spins each. Only its first stage states a match rate, 125%.
How the freebets pay
Freebets are valid for 14 days, on any number of events, at odds between 1.01 and 2.00. The first three are "OnlyWin": if the bet wins you receive only the winnings, not the stake. In our calculation an OnlyWin freebet at the 2.00 maximum returns its face value at best, and nothing if it loses. The fourth is "AllWin", which returns the stake too.
No deposit bonus at Richard Casino
There is no standing no deposit offer on the pages we read, and no code. The bonus terms do describe three small ones:
- free spins for installing the app and turning on notifications ("Push Your Wins"), with a A$35 cashout cap;
- "Slotzilla chips", capped at €/$20;
- sign-up bonuses "offered by our partners", which need a verified email and phone and the email and SMS promotion settings switched on.

The friendly part is the 1x slot turnover and the low A$30 minimum. The awkward part is that only bank transfer and crypto appear as payout methods, and a full €5,000 day is larger than one A$4,000 bank payout, so big wins arrive in pieces. The two-week rule applies as at Boho: miss the casino's phone call or email for two weeks after a request and the withdrawal is cancelled. Richard offers deposit, loss and wager limits, cooling-off from one week to six months, and self-exclusion for six months, nine months, a year or indefinitely, set in the account or through live chat and email. Crypto deposits may still go through during an exclusion, and the only help groups named are overseas ones.
